There can be no mistaking biostimulants for fertilizers. Biostimulants as such provide very little if any nitrogen, phosphorus or potassium. Moreover, amounts of product applied are considerably lower than most other inputs. Growers counting on them to cover their crops nutritional requirements will face a great disappointment!
Biostimulants do not act as pesticides either despite having a positive effect on the plant’s capacities. They were not developed to fight insect pest species, diseases or weeds.
